New Features & ChangesEdit

Pop'n music Usagi to Neko Long Pop-kun

Long Pop-kun

  • A Pop-kun that must be held down has been introduced! Long Pop-kun (ロングポップ君) are pressed and held down until they reach the judgement line. There are two judgement locations for long Pop-kun, the beginning and the end of it (but it's okay to not release the button at the end as well). In the song selection screen, songs that have Long Pop-kun have are marked with a small red Pop-kun icon.
Pop'n music Usagi to Neko Guide SE

GUIDE SE

  • GUIDE SE (Guide Sound Effects) are a percussion sound played when Pop-kun are hit! Now that the sound changes, it's easier to hear if you are playing well or not. This can be switched on or off in the options screen. To change it — hit the yellow button in the first options screen to bring up the switchable options. Next, select the button labeled "GUIDE SE" on the screen (there's a simple setting or a full configuration as well). From here it can then be turned on or off.
  • Character artwork is no longer used on the song select screen. Instead their select icon is shown to the left of the song/genre title.
  • Clear medals have been changed. They are now round and display a letter grade, as opposed to the original bronze/gold/silver shaped medals.
  • Lumina and Character Medals have been removed.
  • The anime-inspired art returns, though it is once again done in a somewhat different style compared to pop'n music éclale.
